Introduction:

PhotoIdeas caters for photographers and home computer users, and all the people in between.

Our services start with 35mm slide scanning, and in the future we will be offering additional services and consultancy, including digital video editing, video/DVD conversion, Cine/DVD conversion and wireless home networking.

Slide Scanning Service:

We scan 35mm slides in multiples of 50, using standard straight slide trays, using a Reflecta DigitDia 3600 slide scanner. This scanner produces high quality scans at up to 3600 dpi.

Slides are scanned in JPEG format at a standard resolution of 900 dpi,

The images are then burned to CD and/or DVD as required. The CDs and DVD can be used in modern DVD players as well as on PCs (both Windows and Apple MAC).

Slides loaded into trays can be sent direct to PhotoIdeas and will be scanned and returned within 7 days. If in doubt about our service please ask.

Prices and Payment:

£20 inc VAT per 50 slides, loaded into a straight slide tray, plus return postage if applicable.

(Handling charge of £10 per 50 slides if not loaded into a straight tray.)

(Minimum order £20 inc VAT, for up to 20 slides)

Slides will be scanned to JPEG images at 900 dpi resolution, as standard.

(Higher resolution can be scanned, and also TIFF format is possble, but please email for quote)

We accept cheques, cash or PayPal payments

The above scans are taken from our own slides on various slide film and scanned using the same process as decribed above. 

What We Don't Do:

1. We don't crop or frame any images

2. We don't enhance or otherwise manipulate the images during/after scanning

3. We don't clean your slides - if they need cleaning please have this done *before* scanning

4. We can't make poor slides look better

5. We can't scan slides that are in a physically poor condition

6. We don't charge the earth for scanning slides
